Man Dies Following Jamestown Hit-And-Run

JAMESTOWN – Jamestown Police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run on Newland Avenue Thursday afternoon.

Officers say at around 1:30 p.m. a man was struck by a newer model white mini-van, possibly a Chrysler or Dodge, at the corner of Newland and Chautauqua Avenues.


The man was struck while walking with his bicycle and later died from injuries sustained.

An elderly female driver has been identified.

The driver may have had a medical emergency, police report.
