Woman Charged With DWI After Allegedly Backing Into Parked Car

JAMESTOWN – A Town of Gerry woman was charged for allegedly driving while intoxicated after police say she backed into a parked car near a Jamestown restaurant and bar Saturday night.

Jamestown Police were responding to a reported fight at Jeremy’s Belview around midnight with the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office when officers observed the crash.

Through investigation, police allege Brittany Abramson, 33, was drunk when she backed her Grey Dodge Journey into a parked car at a nearby lot.


Police say Abramson was arrested and taken to Jamestown City Jail for processing.

While at the jail, police report she submitted a chemical breath test that revealed her blood alcohol content to be three times the legal limit.

Abramson is charged with unsafe backing, DWI and aggravated DWI.



No injuries were reported because of the crash. Abramson was released on appearance tickets.
