JAMESTOWN – Sleet, snow and heavy winds are expected to make travel difficult this weekend in Chautauqua and Cattaraugus Counties.
The National Weather Service says poor visibility and deep snow covered roads are likely.
Gusty winds could bring down tree branches and result in isolated power outages as well.
Snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches are expected through Saturday evening.
Then, heavy lake effect snow will likely bring accumulations of 7 to 14 inches in the most persistent snow bands Saturday night through Monday morning.
Gusty winds will also likely impact the region with gusts as high as 50 mph Saturday night, producing blowing and drifting snow.
