FALCONER – An annual event to raise money to help those diagnosed with cancer is scheduled to take place next week.

“Hoops for Hospice,” hosted by the Falconer Girls Basketball Team, will donate funds raised to Hospice of Chautauqua County in honor of 1990 Falconer Central School graduate Heather (Lefford) Edborg who lost her battle with Sarcoma in 2013.

The team is now asking for local business and community members to make donations to help support the fundraiser.

Business are encouraged to donate gift certificates or items that can be raffled off.

Community members are invited to attending the charity game on Tuesday, January 28 at 6 p.m. with varsity basketball starting at 7:30 p.m.

For over 30 years, Hospice of Chautauqua County has provided comfortable end of life care to patients and their families.
