LAKEWOOD – The winds Sunday afternoon were no match for Davidson’s Family Restaurant’s famous sign on Fairmount Ave which snapped and fell onto the walkway entrance.
Pictures shared on restaurant’s Facebook page shows the sign snapped at the base and laying on its right side in the middle of the Fairmount Ave entrance.
“Well, the year 2020 has been an interesting one! We plan on being open tomorrow using the Jamestown entrance only!” the post read.
According to officials, the restaurant was closed when the sign fell and nobody was hurt.
Wind gusts peaked at 26 MPH at the Jamestown Airport, while the Lakewood weather station operated by EastLakewoodWeather recorded a peak wind gust of 24 MPH.
Decent place, nice owner and great manager. Glad it wasn’t worse
