MAYVILLE – Ten new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Chautauqua County on Tuesday.

The Health Department says five of the cases are in the Fredonia area, with one case in Dunkirk, Dewittville, Sinclairville, Falconer and Jamestown.

There are now 36 cases active, with 623 total since the outbreak began. Of those, 577 people have recovered from the virus.

Of the current active cases, one is related to the Fieldbrook Foods outbreak and 12 are tied to SUNY Fredonia.

Since the outbreak began, more than 41,000 negative test results have been recorded in Chautauqua County.
