WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump tweeted Monday afternoon that he would be leaving Walter Reed Medical Center and returning to the White House.

“I will be leaving the great Walter Reed Medical Center today at 6:30 P.M. Feeling really good!” Trump tweeted. “Don’t be afraid of COVID. Don’t let it dominate your life. We have developed, under the Trump Administration, some really great drugs and knowledge. I feel better than I did 20 years ago!”

Trump’s doctors were expected to provide an update on the president’s condition.

He and his wife both tested positive for the COVID-19 last week.
