JAMESTOWN — A Cattaraugus County was charged with assault after allegedly hitting a woman during a domestic incident in Jamestown on Wednesday afternoon.

Jamestown Police charged Jeffrey Hebdon, 21, with aggravated criminal contempt, third-degree assault, unlawful imprisonment and fourth-degree criminal mischief.

Police said while at a Broadhead Avenue residence Hebdon allegedly restrained a woman from leaving the home and struck her several times in the head.

He was also allegedly violating an order of protection.

Police say Hebdon was charged and held in the City Jail pending arraignment.
