MAYVILLE – Five new COVID-19 related deaths and 45 additional cases of the virus were reported in Chautauqua County on Friday morning.
The county Health Department’s COVID-19 Dashboard indicates the deaths involved a 60-year-old, two 80-year-olds and two 90-year-olds. To date there have been 122 fatalities linked to the virus locally.
The number of active cases dropped slightly from 359 to 351. The number of those hospitalized increased by one to 34.
Since the pandemic began 6,961 cases have been recorded, with 6,488 people recovering.
