Governor Asks Congressional Delegation For ‘Fair Funding’ In Aid Package

ALBANY – New York’s Governor is asking for “fair and proportional funding” in the next COVID-19 aid package.

Governor Andrew Cuomo on Thursday issued a letter to New York’s Congressional delegation.

He is lobbying funding for the state and localities, a repeal of the SALT cap, asking for mortgage relief, and money to help restaurant workers.


The letter asks the delegation to avoid politics by funding state and local governments based on need, directly funding governments rather than bypassing them to fund schools, hospitals and organizations directly.
