Long Island-Based Nursing Home Operator Plans Lakewood Development

LAKEWOOD – A Long Island-based nursing home operator plans to build a new elder care facility in Lakewood.

According to Buffalo Business First, McGuire Group plans to invest $25 million to relocate its current Absolut Westfield facility.











The business journal reports a 17-acre campus featuring new infection control methods will be built Lakeview and Fairmount Avenues in Lakewood.

The group owns and operates a dozen nursing home sites in Western New York.

The new Absolut Lakewood site will be the first new nursing home to be built in the region since 2011.
