JAMESTOWN – Those living in Chautauqua and Cattaraugus Counties woke up Monday morning to slick road conditions caused by a blast of winter weather.

The National Weather Service in Buffalo issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the area.

Forecasters say patchy blowing snow combined with slippery road conditions impacted the morning commute.

Throughfares like I-86 and Route 60 in Chautauqua and Cattaraugus Counties were among areas feeling the effects.

Reports of slick road conditions likely contributed to a crash on I-86 westbound past Kennedy just before 8 a.m.

Total snow accumulations through mid-morning could reach over three inches in parts of the area.
