Man Jailed Following Weekend Robbery

DUNKIRK – A Dunkirk man is behind bars following a robbery of a local business over the weekend.

City of Dunkirk Police say 40-year-old John Tenamore was arrested a short distance away from the Central Avenue business after allegedly fleeing the area with an undetermined amount of cash on Saturday.

Officers say he was taken to the Dunkirk Police Department and charged with third-degree robbery and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.

Tenamore was remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of cash bail following an arraignment in Dunkirk City Court.
