CELORON – This year’s Fire & Ice Celebration has gone virtual.
The annual fundraiser benefits the Child Advocacy Program which works to end child abuse in Chautauqua County.
It usually takes place in February, with over 20,000 pounds of ice worked into carved sculptures and martini luges. However, officials with the Chautauqua Harbor Hotel in Celoron say because of gathering restrictions this year’s event will take place online.
A virtual raffle is now underway, with grand prize winners getting a two-night stay in a lake view suite at the Chautauqua Harbor Hotel. They will also win free admission to some of the area’s top attractions, dining at the Lakehouse Tap and Grille and a half-day sailing adventure.
Those who score the second place prize will receive a one-night stay at hotel, dinner for two, champagne upon arrival, a gift basket, and more.
The raffle runs through April 23 with entry posted online. Last year the event raised $20,000 for the program.
