JAMESTOWN – Those wanting to get a closer look at the new BPU garbage cans can do so in a display at Jamestown’s City Hall.

City officials are encouraging residents to go see the containers prior to their roll out next month.

The Jamestown Board of Public Utilities is set to begin delivering the 95-gallon garbage containers to residential customers May 10th part of the new Assigned Garbage Container Program.

More than 14,000 containers have been ordered and will take about four weeks to distribute.

Customers can begin using the containers as soon as they receive them, but the program will formally begin on July 1.

Those with questions about the new program can call either the BPU Customer Service Line at 716-661-1660 or the BPU Garbage Hotline at 716-661-1651.
