JAMESTOWN – A Jamestown man who has been arrested a dozen times so far this year is now behind bars.

The Jamestown Police say 42-year-old Patrick Blakemore was taken into custody after he allegedly painted the sidewalk in front of Forte Restaurant on East Third Street downtown this week.

According to Chautauqua County Jail records, Blakemore was booked into custody without bail.

He was previously charged in connection with a connection with an alleged shoplifting incident at the North Main Street 7-Eleven store in Jamestown.

That arrest, police say, happened just 12 hours after the man allegedly struggling with officers attempting to arrest him for allegedly trespassing at a local pharmacy last Friday night.

Officers say that was the sixth call involving Blakemore since 3 p.m. Saturday.

The alleged crime spree, officers report, is due in part to New York’s bail reform law.
