JAMESTOWN – Prom is back! Seniors at Jamestown High School are gearing up for the big dance that is slated to take place next month.

Denied the typical sought-after senior-year experience last spring, these seniors will be able to eat and dance with a group of 10 students of their choosing.

The high school’s principal says he is happy to see the tradition continue.

“The health and safety of our students is always our number one priority and we are confident we can hold a prom for our seniors that is fun, but also safe,” said JHS Principal Dana Williams in a statement.

Prom will take place June 5, from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Jefferson Middel School’s Athletic Complex. Tickets are presale only and will be available from May 12 through May 21.

The school says COVID-19 protocols must be followed and can be found on the back of the prom tickets. More information can be found at  www.jpsny.org/jhs.

  1. You post this on may 27th when the article states tickets can only be bought through May 21st? Good job.

  2. I agree with the other comment. Why bother even posting this if you missed the deadline by a week? All you’ll do is tick off people who saw this and went awesome
