TAPPAN, NY – Former Chautauqua County Executive and current New York State Senator George Borrello has received the “Legislative Scorecard Award.”

The decoration, which was given at the Conservative Party’s Spring Reception, was awarded for what the group says is a “stellar legislative [voting] record in support of conservative values.”

“It is an honor,” said Senator Borrello, “to be recognized by the Conservative Party of New York State for my commitment to conservative values and principles.”

Borrello continued, “At every opportunity, I speak out against [radical] policies and underscore the corrosive effect they are having on our economy, our families and the social fabric of our communities. Those convictions guide my voting record and my legislative initiatives.”

Since taking office in 2019, the state senator has battled against Governor Andrew Cuomo’s statewide COVID-19 restrictions by “helping to author a regionally-based plan for the state’s re-opening.”

He has also previously worked to help repeal New York’s bail changes and often advocates for farmers and rural residents.

“I am proud to count myself among [conservative voices] and appreciate the support of all the dedicated members of New York’s Conservative Party who share these convictions,” remarked Borrello.
