JAMESTOWN – Fourth of July festivities are getting underway across the area this week, including a slew of firework displays that ‘launch’ tonight.
The Jamestown Tarp Skunks are hosting what will be the first display of fireworks in the Jamestown area Friday night. The display will take place following their double-header game that starts at 4 p.m. at Russell E. Diethrick, Jr. Park. The game has since been postponed.
Then, the firework action heats up Saturday night, with displays hosted at George Borrello Park in the Village of Silver Creek, the Cattaraugus County Fairgrounds in Little Valley and at Weeden Park in Randolph.
Then on July 4th there will be fireworks display at the Dunkirk City Pier, Seneca Allegany Resort & Casino in Salamanca, in the Village of Bemus Point and Village of Mayville Lakeside Park.
Most of the shows start at dusk. If we missed a show in your community, please let us know via email NewsDesk@WNYNewsNow.com with the subject line: fireworks addition.
