JAMESTOWN – A criminal investigation into what happened at 118 Price St. in the City of Jamestown continued Wednesday.

Law enforcement are tight lipped, however say a body was discovered at the multi-family apartment house and the Chautauqua County District Attorney’s Office is involved.

Price Street resident Beth Fuchs tells us her street is fairly quiet, however does see some suspicious traffic.

“I think it is drug activity and drug dealing,” said Fuchs. When asked why, she says “there is traffic all throughout the day and night, starting at six o’clock in the morning and until 4:30 in the morning.”

Fuchs moved to the neighborhood three years ago with her family, and tells us she is concerned with her daughter’s safety after seeing yesterday’s crime scene.

“There was caution tape wrapped around everything, the street was completely blocked off, and they arrested some male,” said Fuchs. “It’s scary, we really like it here, and to know that something like that happened so close by, we just hope that they get this person, or persons that have done this, and things can settle down.”

Price Street is now back open to traffic after being closed for several hours Tuesday. Others in the neighborhood agree with Fuchs saying the area has been mostly quiet, up until now.
