74-Year-Old Man Dies Following Accident At Home Depot Parking Lot

WEST ELLICOTT – A 74-year-old Tennessee man died after he was hit by a vehicle at the Home Depot parking lot last week in West Ellicott.

Town of Ellicott Police officers responded to the store around 1:45 p.m. on Thursday.

Officers say Austin Piper, of Knoxville TN, was hit by a vehicle as it was turning into a parking spot.











Piper was airlifted to UPMC Hamot Medical Center in Erie where officers say he succumbed to his injuries.

The driver of the vehicle, identified as George Prickett Jr., was not charged and police say no charges are pending.
