Four Hurt In North County Crash

POMFRET –Four people were hurt during a single vehicle rollover crash on Route 5 in the Town of Pomfret on Saturday.  

The Fredonia Fire Department reports the crashed happened just before 9:30 a.m. when three people were ejected from an SUV; with one person trapped inside.  

A helicopter landing zone was set up at the Shorewood Country Club where three medical choppers were called in.  











One person was flown to ECMC in Buffalo via Mercy Flight with two others flown to UPMC Hamot in Erie via Stat Medivac.

A fourth person, firefighters say, was taken to Brooks Hospital via Ambulance.  

The crash is now under investigation by the New York State Police.
