JAMESTOWN – Police in Jamestown are asking motorist to be mindful of where they park ahead of this weekend’s holiday parade.

City of Jamestown Police say Department of Public Works crews will be removing snow from the downtown area over the next few nights in preparation for Saturday’s festivities.

While the majority of parking spots downtown are posted for “No Parking between 2:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.,” officers are passing along a reminder to make sure vehicles are legally parked.

Those who are not legally parked, they could be ticketed, or worse, towed in the middle of the night.

This, police say, will likely result in the driver being late for work in the morning.

In the end they say: “remember, Santa’s watching.”
