POLAND – A man who says he severed to miss a deer crashed his car between a “rock and a hard place” on Thursday in the Town of Poland.
New York State Police says the crash happened around 1:45 p.m. on Route 394 between Waterboro Hill Road and County Line Road.

Troopers report 65-year-old Dale Keech crashed his Ford pickup off the roadway’s north shoulder, striking the guide wire. The vehicle then continued down an earth embankment before coming to rest upright in a creek.
Keech was uninjured, however his vehicle was severely stuck. Olstroms Towing responded and used a crane style tow truck to lift the truck out of the ditch.
