MAYVILLE – A 66-year-old man has plead guilty to a 2021 rape in Dunkirk.

The Chautauqua County District Attorney’s Office announced the plea to third-degree rape on Tuesday.

Prosecutors say James Miller was arrested in July 2021 following the alleged crime in May of that year.

During sentencing, which is scheduled to take place at a later date, Miller could face two years in state prison and 10 years post-release supervision.

District Attorney Jason Schmidt and ADA Tracey Brunecz credit the Dunkirk Police Department for their work on the investigation, and their assistance in prosecuting Miller.
