JAMESTOWN – Plans for Jamestown’s 74th annual Easter Egg Hunt were finalized this week.

The springtime occurrence was given the thumbs up by the city council’s Public Safety Committee to take place on Saturday, April 16 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Allen Park.

In the event of rain, officials say festivities would likely be moved indoors to the Allen Park Ice Rink.

Last year, a smaller “drive-thru” celebration took place, with the hunt called off in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This year, local leaders hope the return to normalcy should provide a good time for local kids.
