Jamestown Police Investigate Fatal Late-night Shooting

JAMESTOWN – Police in Jamestown are investigating a fatal late-night shooting. 

Jamestown Police report the shooting took place around 11:30 p.m. at East 6th Street and American Place. 







The victim was taken via a private vehicle to UPMC Chautauqua Hospital before police arrived on scene. 

Officers say they were later pronounced dead at the hospital. Their name, gender or age has not been released, pending a next of kin notification.  







As of Sunday morning, detectives have yet to identify a suspect, however police said additional info will be released when it is known.
