Teen Facing Charges After Shooting AR-15 Rifle Outside Of Local Store

JAMESTOWN – A 17-year-old is facing charges after allegedly shooting an AR-15 assault rifle in the parking lot of a local Jamestown store over the weekend.

Jamestown Police announced Tuesday the male teen, who was not identified, discharged the firearm outside of the Big Lots store around 11:30 p.m. Saturday.


When police arrived on location, they found the juvenile running through the parking lot with the weapon, which was reported stolen from Lakewood.

The teen was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of stolen property. He was later arraigned and released to an adult.
