Carroll Resident Faces Felony Charges After Police Recover “Ghost” Gun

CARROLL – A 37-year-old Town of Carroll resident is facing several felony charges after police say they busted him with an un-serialized “ghost” gun.

New York State Police reports troopers arrested John Peterson on Monday after executing a search warrant at his home.











Inside the house, investigators allegedly recovered the loaded 9mm “ghost” gun in Peterson’s possession.

After consultation with Chautauqua County District Attorney’s Office, Peterson was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a disguised gun and criminal possession of a weapon, both felonies.

New York State Police Computer Crimes Unit assisted in this investigation.
