LAKEWOOD – The teen accused of discharging an AR-15 rifle outside of a Jamestown store this week is facing additional charges related to the weapon’s theft.

The Lakewood-Busti Police Department alleges that the 17-year-old stole the rifle from his family member before the shooting incident last weekend.

Shots were fired outside of the Brooklyn Square Big Lots store in Jamestown around 11:30 p.m. Saturday.

When police arrived on location, they found the juvenile running through the parking lot with the weapon.

The teen was arrested and charged before he was released to an adult. In addition to the charges in Jamestown, he now faces grand larceny charges in Lakewood as well.
