Ohio Pair Facing Federal Charges In Regional Bank Robbery Spree

WESTFIELD, NY – Two Ohio men are facing a slew of federal charges in connection with 15 bank robberies across five states, including in Western New York and Northwest Pennsylvania.

According to a criminal complaint filed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Michigan, 32-year-old DeAndre Thorington and 30-year-old Jeremy Martin committed the robberies between February 11 and June 6.


Thorington is accused of physically robbing the banks, while Martin allegedly drove the getaway vehicle.

Locally, it is alleged the pair knocked off the Community Bank in Westfield on April 8, Widget Financial in North East, Pennsylvania on April 28 and the KeyBank in North East, Pennsylvania on May 6.

Following a high-speed chase in early June, federal investigators said the duo was taken into custody by Sheriff Deputies in Ohio.
