Police Investigate Westfield Bank Robbery

WESTFEILD – Police are investigating a bank robbery in Westfield on Friday afternoon.

According to Chautauqua County Police Dispatch, law enforcement responded to the Community Bank at 70 East Main Street around 3 p.m.

Shortly after the robbery occurred, police in the area began searching for suspects.


Police are working to contact a nearby church, to see if they could spot possible suspect on their security camera system.

Around 4 p.m., police narrowed their search to a black male, around 6”1’, in a blue North Face puff jacket, with grey pants, black sneakers and a white hat.



Police said no weapon was displayed, however the suspect indicated he had one.
