  1. Absolutely the worst day I have spent on vacation this year. We thought we would do a quick trip to NY and check out the area. When we tried to go to Mayville to go on the Chautaugua Belle we not only dealt with a 6 mile detour around the town but once we finally got to the boat, they had the entire area around the boat blocked off for a bunch of rude pyro’s to setup their fireworks. We were merely trying to make our way to the boat and were instantly verbally assaulted by them. Then when we left the area we were confronted with apparently someone on the planning committee. When we suggested there should be some plan for those trying to ride the boat, we were told maybe we should join the planning committee. Not sure if they don’t realize visitors might be in their town or the first time, but they will never get our money again. Chautauqua is off our list forever after that and we will make sure to spread the word of our dreadful experience.
