Congressman Attends Son’s Gay Wedding After Voting Against Gay Marriage

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A local Pennsylvania congressman attended his son’s wedding to another man after he voted against gay and interracial marriage.  

Republican Congressman Glenn Thompson (R- PA) voted against the bill last week and then days later he attended the wedding to his son, who married another man. We reached out to the congressman for comment his office only said this:

“Congressman and Mrs. Thompson were thrilled to attend and celebrate their son’s marriage on Friday night as he began this new chapter in his life. The Thompsons are very happy to welcome their new son-in-law into their family.”
