JAMESTOWN, NY (WNY News Now) – A wanted Jamestown man is accused of leading officers on a foot pursuit on the city’s westside.

Officers with the Jamestown Police Department conducted a traffic stop on 41-year-old Justin Meacham’s vehicle in the area of Geneva Street and Livingston Avenue around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Through the course of their investigation, police found that Meacham had outstanding warrants and was considered to be a “parole absconder.”

When trying to take Meacham into custody, police said he fled leading officers on a brief foot pursuit.

After reportedly resisting arrest, and allegedly attempting to destroy a quantity of controlled substances, Meacham was cuffed and taken to Jamestown City Jail.

He faces a slew of charges in connection with his warrants and the alleged drug possession.
