AAA: Gas Prices Continue To Fall In WNY

JAMESTOWN, NY (WNY News Now) – According to data from AAA, drivers in Western New York continue to see gas prices fall. However, Chautauqua County’s average price remains high, compared to stations around the state.

As of Monday, New York saw the average price for a gallon of gas drop more significantly than prices nationwide. The Empire State’s average is $3.78, down 11 cents from last week. Nationwide, the average is $3.68, down only four cents from last week.











In Chautauqua County, average price of a gallon of gas is now $3.90, 12 cents more than the state average. Two weeks ago the average price was $4.01.

Cattaraugus County, according to AAA, is six cents lower than the state average at $3.84.

Overall, gas prices remain higher than last year at this time.
