DUNKIRK, NY (WNY News Now) – A second suspect has been arrested in connection with a drive-by shooting of two children in northern Chautauqua County.

City of Dunkirk Police announced the arrest of 40-year-old 2022 Juan Cruz-Corraliza on Thursday.

The man, along with Javier Cruz-Corraliza, allegedly shot two children, ages 8 and 11, during a drive-by shooting back on July 17, 2022.

Juan-Cruz Corraliza was taken into custody by the US Marshals Office Fugitive from justice unit hiding in a trailer in the Town of Hanover on November 22. After arraignment, he has since posted bail.

While the 11-year-old has been released from medical care, officers said the 8-year-old girl is still recovering from life threatening injuries she sustained.
