WASHINGTON, D.C. — The House passed the annual military spending bill, sending the nearly 850-billion-dollar bill to the Senate.

The NDAA must be passed by congress each year. In this bill, it includes 817 billion for the Defense Department and about 30 billion to fund nuclear activities in the Department of Energy.

In this legislation, service members and the Pentagon’s civilian workforce will get a little bit of a pay bump, new weapons programs and equipment upgrades.

The bill is seen as a win for both parties after they negotiated what goes into the bill for months.
