JAMESTOWN, NY (WNY News Now) — Sewer line repairs will force the closure of an intersection on Jamestown’s westside next week.

The Jamestown Board of Public Utilities (BPU) announced Thursday that Steele Street atHarding Avenue will close to traffic next Wednesday and Thursday, February 22 and 23.

Motorists are asked to follow a posted detour to avoid the work zone.

During construction, BPU officials say there will be no access to Steele Street from the Sixth Street Bridge, Fairmount Avenue and Harding Avenue.

Traffic will be detoured away from Steele Street starting at Barrett Avenue, except for local access.
