ALLEGANY, NY (WNY News Now) – An Olean man is accused of stealing a vehicle at gunpoint in Cattaraugus County.

On Saturday, New York State Police arrested John Tait after he allegedly stole a vehicle on North Third Street in the Village of Allegany.

Specifically, Tait is accused of threatening the vehicle’s driver with a semi-automatic handgun while demanding the keys to his car so Tait could “drive to Buffalo.”
