Jamestown Man Allegedly Flees Police In Stolen Vehicle

JAMESTOWN, NY (WNY News Now) – A Jamestown resident faces a slew of criminal charges after allegedly fleeing police in a stolen vehicle this week.

Officers with Jamestown Police spotted Jordan Thayer in an allegedly stolen vehicle at the Dollar General on Winsor Street around noon on Thursday.


Thayer allegedly fled in the vehicle when he spotted the patrol personnel.

During the police chase, the 25-year-old is accused of nearly striking two postal workers before exiting the car and fleeing on foot.

After a brief foot pursuit, Thayer was taken into custody.



He faces several criminal charges including felony reckless endangerment, unlawfully fleeing a police officer and possession of stolen property.
