ALBANY, NY (WENY) — Monday, Governor Kathy Hochul signed legislation to help strengthen New York’s healthcare workforce.

The bill allows nursing students to complete part of their clinical training through simulation experiences.

“This will help clear the log jam, expedite training, and deliver an influx of nurses that are needed right now,” Hochul said.

Gov. Hochul added the simulation experience can offer more opportunities for more intense situations and scenarios that might not occur in a clinical environment.
