NORTH HARMONY, NY (WNY News Now) – An investigation is underway to determine what sparked a early morning house fire in Chautauqua County.

Around 5:30 Wednesday morning the Sherman Fire Department was dispatched to 3264 Wall Street for a reported structure fire.

When crews arrived on scene, they discovered flames within a two-story residence and called for a multi mutual aid response for several nearby departments.

The fire has since been extinguished and as of mid-morning an investigation is underway.

It appears the house suffered severe damage as a result of the fire, with the roof burned and collapsing into the residence below. It’s unclear if any injuries were reported as a result.
