Jamestown Man Spending 10-Years Behind Bars For Child Sex Crimes

MAYVILLE, NY (WNY News Now) – A Jamestown man will spend a decade in state prison after he was convicted for child sex crimes.

On Tuesday the Chautauqua County District Attorney’s Office announced the sentencing of Jeffery Bair.

The 38-year-old was sentenced by County Court Judge David Foley to 10 years in state prison and 20 years of post-release supervision.

Prosecutors say Bair pled guilty to first-degree course of sexual conduct against a child, a class B felony, back on March 2nd.

DA Jason Schmidt thanked the Child Advocacy Program and Jamestown Police Department’s Juvenile Unit for their dedication to child victims.

He says without the group’s these types of cases would be exponentially more difficult to prosecute.
