JAMESTOWN, NY (WNY News Now) – An accused Jamestown drug trafficker has been sentenced for federal charges Wednesday. 

38-year-old Douglas Beardsley was convicted of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute, and to distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine in addition to a felony firearm possession charge.

Between September 2018 and January 2019, Beardsley is accused of buying and selling heroin and methamphetamine in the Jamestown area.

Prosecutors say Beardsley had a lengthy criminal past with convictions in 2005, 2009 and 2013.

He was sentenced to serve over 14 years in prison.
