BUFFALO, NY (WNY News Now) – A Mayville man has pleaded guilty for his role in a fatal hit and run accident one year ago. 

Erie County District Attorney John Flynn Announced that on Thursday, 38-year-old Nicholas J. Rosado, also known as Nicholas J. Boaz, of Mayville pleaded guilty to one count of Leaving the Scene of an Incident Resulting in Death.

On Thursday July 7, 2022 Rosado was driving a pickup truck northwest on Abbott Road in the City of Buffalo where he hit a bicyclist near Kenefic Avenue.

Police say that Rosado then left the scene without reporting the incident.

The bicyclist, 27-year-old Theodore Dionne of West Seneca died from the injuries.

 Sentencing for Rosado is scheduled for Tuesday September 5, 2023.
