Mayville, NY (WNY News Now) – On July 23rd, 2023 Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Corrections Officers discovered crack cocaine during a cell search at the Chautauqua County Jail, leading to the arrest of inmate Shawn A. Sobczak on charges of promoting prison contraband 1st degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th degree.
Shawn A. Sobczakn (45) was arrested after a routine cell search conducted by Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Corrections Officers on July 23rd, 2023. Officers found a quantity of crack cocaine concealed in the cell occupied by inmate Shawn A. Sobczak.
Shawn A. Sobczak, who was in possession of the illicit substance, will face an arraignment on the aforementioned charges at a later date.
