Jamestown, NY (WNY News Now) – Kayin Ziolkowski (19) of Jamestown was arrested for charges of Resisting Arrest and Robbery 3rd Degree after a confrontation with officers on 8/4/2023.

Officers from the Jamestown Police Department responded to a reported fight at the intersection of W 5th St and Mechanics Alley at approximately 5:08 PM on 8th August 2023. The confrontation involved Kayin Ziolkowski, who was seen arguing aggressively with another male at the scene.

Officers attempted to detain Ziolkowski, but he resisted arrest and attempted to pull away. A brief struggle ensued, resulting in the apprehension of the suspect. During the investigation it was revealed that Ziolkowski had engaged in a domestic dispute with a female victim prior to the altercation. Ziolkowski allegedly snatched the victim’s purse while she was wearing it and quickly fled the scene.

Following his arrest Kayin Ziolkowski was transported to the City Jail, and is being held pending his arraignment.
