Chautauqua County, NY (WNY News Now) – In the early hours of August 6th, 2023 the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office apprehended Angela Tessmer (22) of Ripley during a routine traffic stop on Rt 76 in Westfield, leading to her arrest on charges of Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) and related offenses.
Deputies from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Rt 76 in the Town of Westfield. The incident occurred around 01:40 am when Tessmer was operating a vehicle on the roadway.
During the investigation law enforcement officers discovered that Tessmer was driving under the influence of alcohol. Subsequent tests confirmed her impaired state, leading to her arrest on charges of Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), DWI per se, and Speed over 55 Zone violation.
Following the arrest Tessmer was released with appearance tickets for the Town of Westfield Court at the later date.
