Innovative Singer Dies At 76


(WNY News Now) – American singer-songwriter Jimmy Buffett has died at age 76-years-old according to a post made to his Facebook Page “Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefers”.

The post uploaded to the page reads “Jimmy passed away peacefully on the night of September 1st surrounded by his family, friends, music and dogs. He lived his life like a song till the very last breath and will be missed beyond measure by so many.”

Buffett was arguably best known for his 1970’s hit ‘Margaritaville, or his restaurant chain of the same name, however his talents didn’t end there. “A Pirate Looks At 50” is one of the many titles published by Buffett and serves as the autobiography of the singer.


Musicians like Jimmy Charles took to Facebook to send condolences, stating “Aww a piece of me just died. So many memories with my Dad singing his songs and at Margaritaville in Nashville. So sad RIP Jimmy. We will miss you so!!”.

No cause of death has been announced at this time.
